Attitude of Gratitude – By Bill Schutt

Romans 1:8-9 “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.”

I see the Apostle Paul living a constant attitude of gratitude for the faith and labor of faith of the churches throughout his ministry  I cannot imagine the persecution the early church received for their faith then laboring in their faith in the field that is white already to harvest.  The Apostle Paul realizing what the church of Rome was going through pauses in the beginning of his epistle to this local body of believers in Rome to say, thank you.  There must have been a great sacrifice and/or persecution for their faith to be spoken of throughout the whole world.

This in many cases reminds me of the great Bible Baptist Church!  People in who’s faith has been tested of late and a church who labored in the faith and for the faith this past weekend.  I echo the sentiments of our dear beloved Paul… “first, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all,”

This post is a special THANK YOU to the BBC.

A special thanks to:  the church staff, deacons, bus drivers, bus captains, bus workers, Sunday school teachers, Sunday school helpers, junior church teachers/preachers, junior church helpers, all the many folks in the kitchen, security, nursery workers, the pa and video personnel, the Parker trio, the choir, the obedient tithers and generous givers of Bible Baptist, and every person who attended this past Sunday of our Open House.

These types of miraculous days is a team effort in prayer, faith, labor, and love.  Thank you to the entire BBC team.  You had a part in the eternal change in many lives!

I team with the Apostle Paul where he says, “that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.” I love you all and carry you in my heart in prayer.
